A Boutique-Inspired Bedroom with White Trim and Pistachio Walls
White board and batten trim and muted pistachio paint wrap around this Los Angeles bedroom, creating a calm, cohesive retreat.
A thoughtful combination of color and architectural detail can change the feel of an entire room. For this Los Angeles bedroom, we paired white board and batten trim on the lower walls with a muted pistachio shade above, carrying the treatment throughout the space.

White Trim That Adds Character

Vertical battens and a continuous horizontal rail give the lower walls definition and rhythm. The white finish keeps the room feeling light, while the existing wall texture remains visible between the trim pieces.

The detailing continues around corners and beneath the window, connecting each wall into one consistent design.

A Soft Pistachio Accent

Above the trim, pistachio paint introduces a gentle touch of color. Its muted tone complements the wooden furniture, neutral bedding, and warm bedside lighting without overwhelming the room.

The two-tone palette balances crisp architectural lines with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

One Design, All Around the Room

Rather than limiting the treatment to the wall behind the bed, we extended it across all bedroom walls. This creates a finished, enveloping feel, with the bed, reading corner, and window area all belonging to the same composition.

The result is a bedroom with the character of a boutique hotel and the comfort of home.

Client Feedback

“Our bedroom now feels like a boutique hotel retreat. Beautiful craftsmanship, and the project was completed quickly. It’s become the perfect place to unwind.”
